About this part
On the AirFit N20, the frame system is the structural core: the cushion seats into it, the headgear attaches via its magnetic clips, and it carries the elbow where the tubing connects. It’s what everything else attaches to.
Frames are wear parts — handled and cleaned daily, they can crack, warp, or have their connection points loosen over time, and a damaged frame won’t hold the cushion properly (leaks follow no matter how the headgear is adjusted). Replacing the frame system when your cushion and headgear are still good is far cheaper than a complete new mask. This one is supplied without headgear — for people who already have good headgear and just need the frame.
Shared design: the AirFit N20 and AirTouch N20 share the same frame and headgear — they differ only in the cushion (AirFit uses silicone, AirTouch uses memory foam). So this frame works with either cushion type; choose the cushion you prefer.
Important: magnets & implants
The N20 frame uses magnetic headgear clips. Magnets are contraindicated for some people — including those with certain metallic implants (e.g. aneurysm clips), metallic eye fragments, or electronic implanted devices (pacemakers, ICDs, neurostimulators, shunts, pumps).
